Personal Background

Thomas Richard Nalepka was born in 1956 on the south side of Chicago.  Family activities, educational advancement, religious instruction, and sports were the focus of the developing years. 

Mother, Marie and father, F. Richard were married for over fifty years.  Both were born in Chicago. Father fell victim to cancer 10 years ago.  Mother lives in the same home less than a mile from Midway Airport.  Two sisters live in the Chicago metropolitan area and are accomplished professionals in law and education.   

Marie was an exemplary stay-at-homemaker.  She is an excellent cook.  She set a good moral example and was active at St. Turibius Catholic parish.  F. Richard was a structural engineer and a WWII B-24 bombardier, lieutenant army air corp.  He loved golf and his family.  F. Richard professed that personal integrity and striving for academic excellence in one’s given profession were keys to success and happiness.          

Family vacations, cookouts, regular church service, downtown excursions, movies, golf instruction, and sports of all kinds occupied Thomas’s time during grammar school and early teen years.  Hockey and golf were high school participation sports.  There was delight in golfing and watching the Bears with dad.

Gaining knowledge and making grade point average was the major challenge and concentration of the college years.  Thomas lived at his parent’s home while attending college and dental school at the University of Illinois, Chicago campus. 

Currently, Dr. Nalepka resides in Washington, IL.  He enjoys golf, cross-training, cooking, reading, music, dining, traveling, sporting events, gardening, and cultural events.
